I know for a fact that nintendo are very easy going when it comes to getting your ds fixed when it is damaged. I was wondering, if i were to say my ds old broke in some way, i could get a free ds lite.

This may seem shallow but thats your opinion :p

You're right, in my opinion that seems shallow.

probably not, if word leaked of free ds lite upgrades like that the company would be losing gazillions daily:)they probably have enough ds phats to go around:)

although it couldn't hurt to try....do keep us posted:)

haha, id like to see how this would turn out too. but personally, i like the grey ds better, it seems to fit in my hands easier than a square-ish ds lite and the d-pad feels sturdier

It's not shallow, it's just plain STUPID.

How do you expect to get your DS Phat fixed for free????

It's not under warranty and Nintendo didn't cover hinge replacements for the phat.

The best you could hope to get is a DS Lite for the prevailing repair price of $75.00, but I doubt that you'd even get that because I'm sure that Nintendo still has lots of DS Phat repair parts.
