This has been asked a few years ago, but no useful replies. So.. I have an iso that is 5GB in size. I don't want to waste the space on a dvd9, so i'd like to add an additional iso (2.5GB), or even just extra folders/files. Can this be done? I typically use imgburn. I've just tried to create a single image from these iso, and imgburn reports it can't add an image greater than 4.3GB thanks
if its a program/game then splitting it will create a lot of difficulty getting it to run... you can split iso's with magiciso http://www.magiciso.com/howto/howto.htm if its of any help this is my create and burn iso guide, they're is no limit to the size of the iso (unless your HDD isn't formated to NTFS) http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580060 -tripplite
ahhh wait my bad(didn't understand what you wanteD)! this guide i showed you earlier is exactly how to to do that, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580060 NOTE:un pack both isos into on folder, then simply guide doiso to that folder and it'll create one BIG iso -tripplite
theres a way i think if dvdfab or dvd shrink able to recognise the iso's then re-author to dvd9 and i think in dvshrink u can create iso image and then burn iam sure if nero recode recognise it will do the same thing
It sounds that you are burning a data disc, and not a disc image? In this case, you can add as many files as you want, until the disc is full.
thanks all. I found another link (on imgburn forums i think), which said it wasn't possbible, and that i'd have to extract the iso's to folders, and then recompile one (like you say) - which is fine.
Yes, you have to do that if you insist on using ImgBurn. You said that "typically" you use ImgBurn. Does that mean that you have a different burning software? Nero should have no problems writing your data DVD.
