Can I copy a copyrighted ringtone to another phone?

    hello,
    I have a Nokia 6280 and am waiting on the arival of a new phone and i would like to copy the ringtones which i have brought onto my new phone. Can I copy a copyrighted ringtone to another phone? they are mp3. Thanks hope you can help

    copyright and copy protection are two completely different things.... can you see the files in your phone file browser?.. can you transfer them to your pc or to another phone? Why don't you try?

    I did but it won’t play. says something about not being a file that quick time understands, windows media play says something similar. I have a sound track that someone sent me that does play. And they are both mp3,,,. any ideas?
