I just bought a Toshiba DR-4 DVD recorder for my tv. I bought it for the purpose of recording family videos from a camcorder to DVD (no problem with that) But every time I try to record a movie from a premium channel the DVD recorder says its copywrite protected and it terminates the recording is there anything I can do or can I just not record from those channels like i used tobe able to do with my VCR.
The only pay movie channels I get, are the Encore channels. I'm able to record from them, to my dvd recorder. I think it's the cable company causing your problem, unless they're the HD premium channels. I don't think you can record HD movies to a dvd.
