The dashboard should create "E:\apps" and "E:\games".

Put the games in F...don't waste your time with the E drive. Save that space on E for Game Saves. There is usually around 4-5GB of space and a Tdata folder and UData Folder, Tdata has your controller configurations and UData has all your game saves.....Later

I totally agree with elusive-Put your games on your F-drive thats where you have the most free space

    "What if it didn't?"

You can create the "games" and "apps" folders manually using FTP.

Of a course you can(put it on the E drive). Do you have a stock hdd in your xbox? If so, that's why you can't put it in the F partition.
It may show up when you ftp into your hdd but there's no space there because you only have a stock hdd. Like someone else said, your going to run out of space quickly because there's not much space available on a stock hdd.
