    Can I edit a DVD recorded on a DVD recorder?
    Erm... it might seem a dumb thing to ask...
    But a while back, we bought a Lite On DVD recorder.
    It records OK.
    But... we can't access the recorded DVD's on PC.
    We never got round to changing it asking for tech help.

    Are there any specific models that are more PC compaitble?

    In particular, I'm thinking of buying the following model:

    "H & B DRX-430 Slimline DivX DVD Recorder"

    I haven't found much feedback on this website.

    Any further opinions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

     I have a LiteOn LVW-5005 and I edit videos on my PC ... I rip them with DVD Decry[ter (in file mode) and use DVD Shrink to edit them (in re-author mode) Usually I use +RW discs that way I can reuse them (although my LiteOn doesn't like them very much and is VERY picky about which brand +RW I use)

    Depends on the unit.
    Example;
    The ILO DVDR04 does not provide for editing
    The ILO DVDRHD04, w/80gb HDD, Does provide editing

    I have the DVDRHD04 and can edit,merge,etc. with the unit.
    I used to use a PC but now, hardly ever.
