I d/l'd about 7 AVI's from the net which are about 38-40 mbs apiece.

Do I need to convert these first before I burn them to DVD? I always use ConvertXtoDVD for my movie downloads and will that work?

you can put the avi"s on a dvd as data, but they can't be played on a dvd player, you can use convertxtodvd to put all of them to dvd

If you have a divx certified DVD player, you can burn the AVIs as data to a DVD and the player will play them back, bypassing the conversion task. If you have lots of AVIs, a divx DVD player is the way to go. They start at $30us or so.
