My HD is dead. I want to purchase a stock, unlocked Xbox HD and lock it in my Xbox. I am told I dont NEED a modchip to do this, but it is alot easier. Well, I dont have the money, so i need to do it the hard way. I have searched the forums but cannot find my answer. Can I simply use configmagic to lock it? Please help me. It has been a week without my Xbox. Max
Witout a mod chip you would need to load a software hack on to the Xbox to run Configmagic and then you should be able to lock the harddrive. But in order to be able to load the software hack you would need the Xbox to boot up and load a game save. RustyDog
