I'm not sure what any of this involves. I have a HP zd7000 2.8ghs p4 w/a 128 mb nvidia graphics card and the capability for 2 gigs ramm. I play alot of games with various graphics. It can barely handle Halo. Tomb Raider AoD pushes the limit too as well as Thief III. Untill recently I never came close to taxing my processor but this site has me trying everything under the sun and on more than one occasion my machine has protested violently. I was wondering if it's even possible to overclock a notebook or is it even worth it? I tried to read through the threads but it's all greek to me. I appreciate any and all input.

how much ram is installed now as you have lost 128meg to your videocard. don't even try to overclock the cpu as you can't get a big enough heatsink & fan to cool the cpu down.

I have 128mb of dedicated video and 768 of 2700 333mhz ddram. I am planning on jumping to the full 2 gigs soon. I was mainly curious if it could be done/was worth it. My model machine comes with a 3.2 p4 and what I understand to be the same heatsink and dual fans as I have installed. Also rarely does it run hot unless I am asking too much of it. Once again, thanks for all input.
