im not sure if this is the correct forum for this but...i ripped a dvd using dvd decrypter but accidentally deleted the ISO image file before i got a chance to compress it with dvd shrink. i still have the MDS file. of course when u delete a file that size it says it is too big for the recycle bin so i cant just restore it since its not there. so is there a way to recover it? is it still on my computer somewhere? i used the start menu search but havent found it. not sure what else i can try.

odds are that if you've done any activity on your computer since the delete, especially saving or deleting other files, your data, as a whole, will be unrecoverable, as even though parts might still be there, it was marked as "empty space" by your OS and was probably written right over.

whoever you borrowed or rented the dvd from that you're trying to copy, just do it again.
