Im not so sure that Comet would take it back seen as how you have already used it. Perhaps they will, but im not 100% certain. Mabye some other members know...

    Hi Greg1
You could always tell them it's faulty and would like a different model.

hi dougal i was going to do that but what can i say is faulty (i allready went in saying that it would not play dvds so the bitch at comet let me speak to the guy at sony.Luckily i knew more about computers than him and was able to fool him) My mum wont buy me the one i want till next march and she has to pay an extra like £1500 in march than just like £250 the now.I know its a big ask but could someone phone up comet (in the uk) and ask them if they would take my old laptop back and let me pay the extra £250 even though this one has been used (but never fear the battery is still sealed and so are the manuals)

When you say "faulty" your implying that there is fault with the laptop? I only ask because I think you should elaborate on your problem...I've owned several VAIO's and have never had a problem...maybe there is something you (we) can fix.... Post the specs...ie...model number sys specs and all that jazz.

...and without calling everyone a bitch, if you don't mind GregI. this is a very public website so it would be nice if other youngsters such as yourself didn't have to read those kind of comments. maybe your mum should deal with the whole laptop thing instead

Right ill start from the beginning.I went and bought a £800 sony vaio laptop at comet its been 9 days so far and i am not happy for what the specs are for the price which is a centrino 1.73ghz, 80gb hd,a matshuta dual layer dvd writer,512mb ram and mobile intel graphics media accelerator 900 128mb shared with main memory.See this is the laptop i have

    http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/572_311200.html

and the one i want is much better as u can see

    http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/572_311529.html

so i just want to take my laptop back and put the extra £250 (near enough)to get that blazingly fast duo laptop which is not actually a rip off considering the stuff it has.All i need to know if i can do this

well i think you should get off here and go try taking it back....though they'll only send you away agin if it's not faulty

heres the thing if its faulty they will just get it repaired and then they find out nothing is wrong with it and then my mum gets put in jail for fraud.
