When I attempt to copy a dvd using dvdxcopy platinum d.x (i've installed no updates to this purchased version), the program just hangs after clicking the start button. It finally errors out w/ an "error reading media" merssage. Can you send me an update?

    Thank you.

    danishes,
Discard dvdxcopy plat and install dvd shrink from afterdawn will be a better choice.

Thanks Henryting. Is dvdshrink a better product that dvdxcopy version 5?

I am hoping that if I can secure an update for my current version of dvdxcopy 4.x, I'll fix my issue.

    danishes,
Dvdshrink + anydvd is better than dvdxcopy ver 5. Dvdshrink with simple interface and is easy to use and furthermore dvdshrink is free unlike dvdxcopy which suck your blood.
If you want to buy buy anydvd which comes with constant update to latest update for the latest protection for dvd.

Try the trial version of AnyDVD and CloneDVD free for 21 days it is available from http://www.slysoft.com It is a much better program than Xcopy and will do the newer protected movies and is always being updated. Xcopy still cannot handle many of the newer movies and is not worth the money to update, if you are going to purchase anything then purchase these two programs. Try them out, I guarantee you will like them.
