    Hello everyone,
    OS is Win98 SE.
Had to clean install Win 98se to cleap up my system.
Moved on to install rest of my apps and it all went well. Went on to install Winfax 8. and the installation has failed, meaning, the install CD did open and it was loading the installation, and loading and laoding and just never loaded. Tested the same CD on 3 other computers, one of them being the same type and it loaded in 5 sec and went on to install. Did test other apps on that problem puter just to make sure the CDRW was ok and it was. Also, I did have Winfax 8 on that computer before.

So, any idea what the heck is going on?

    Chris

wash the cd in soapy water & use a cd/dvd disc cleaner on the rom drive

    Thanks for your reply,
I did clean the CD and it installs ok on all other computers.
Instead of cleaning my CDRW, I swaped it with a new CDrom and still
    not able to install.
Any other ideas? Soap and water?

    Chris

Did look at Regedit and no parts of Winfax in the system that I can see. Am now running Defrag.
This is Ver 8 is from 1998 and now it is up to Ver 11 or something, I don't think there is any support. But will look again.
    Thanks for your help,
    Chris
