Hi, I have a lot of reels super 8 movies from when I was little.I recoreded them all using a digital camera and saved them on my pc as wmv files. I then converted those files into mpg so that I could burn them to dvd using movavi movie maker software. The format I convereted the files to is MPEG1, 2 (DVD, SVCD, VCD)/ DVD PAL compatible - the files are now .mpg. I have tried to burn them and it said they were burnt successfully. When I tried to play them on my TOSHIBA DVD, but I got the message: DVD-R -/- No supported files found I am burning onto Sony DVD-R DVDs. Can anyone help, please? Thanks
Check the tech info on your DVD player. Is it ABLE to play .mpg format files? If not, record your files to a supported format or buy a different player that WILL play .mpg files. Not all players have the same playback abilities.
U have to convert them to dvd compliant files(VOB,IFO,BUP) if u want to play them on a dvd player. Nero vision is a program that does that, also members highly recomend ConvertXtoDVD both are pay programs, not sure of any free programs that do this.
