can PS2 read CD-R?

    can anyonen help? i have a game small enough to fit on a CD. its only 697 mb. but can PS2 read CD-R? i burned it to a CD-R, loaded it with Swap Magic CD version, but then it went over to the 'please insert a PS2 or PS1 disk format'. i know for DVD, u should use DVD-R, but what would u use for CD? CD-R doens't work so am i burning wrong or do i need to use CD+R?

    yes the can, but you need a modschip in your PS2 for it to read games on burnt CDs and DVDs.
