I actually have 2 q 1. is epson 300 a good printer to print dvd covers and pictures? and im stupid when it comes to the dvds to use? i normaly buy taiyo yuden silver but ill need a white printable disc and i havent a idea on which to buy that is good ? please help thanks sally
I have the R300 and like it a lot, but if you have a MAC don't install the printer drivers that come with it. If you are running OSX 10.4 the drivers are already in the system and installing the drivers that come with the printer will cause you grief. I use taiyo yuden printable discs and haven't had a coaster yet in over 100 printed.
I've got the epson r-200.I just doesn't have the fancier card reader like the r-300 and the fancy view screen with card reader like the r-320 but it's a hell of a printer for $80. Excellent dvd printing and dvd album covers. My regular pictures also turn out great. A set of 6 ink cartidges for well under $20 here: http://private.abacus24-7.com/(rhys.../driver.aspx?topic=compatibility&compat=12973 I believe the resolution is the same in all 3 of those epson printers. It just depends on what bells and whistles you want on it.Very easy cd/dvd printing software and loads of sites in the dvd-r media forum for all the websites to find your covers and download them. Everything about dvd printing is in that dvd-r media forum, just look under dvd printing/epson r-200/etc. Printable Media: I really like the full hub printables. The regular hubs just don't look very good. You can get the full hubs online at rima.com/supermediastore.com/and meritline.com The ty's are said to be the best. I use verbatim data life plus +8x online. I can get the hitachi made maxell +8x in full hubs at walmart and office depot. They are around 70 cents apiece, but well worth it for the good stuff. Good Luck!
Thanks for the info.Ill check the epson 200 out to i dont need all the fancy stuff (wouldnt have a idea what to do with it anyways lol) thanks for the help sally
