I downloaded a movie and its a divx and mpeg when I try to view it, it won't open is says..... Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. I try to play it with dvix does'nt work, vlc ffd any more software to use?

If you have K-Lite (full or mega version) installed, then your media players should be able to play almost all videos. In that case, it could be that the file is corrupted (quite often for downloaded videos). You may try correct the errors with e.g. AviFixed. But be sure to back up the original video first 'cos sometimes it might backfire:

    Good luck!
