G'day to all.. I have no idea how to delete the virus or many viruses etc from my computer. I'm normally pretty good (for a novice) in fixing my pc.. OMG again! It now appears I have a problem with my keyboard C'MON!!!! I know it has something to do with WinAntiVirus PRO trojan & wtf is NetworkNews, I've never seen it before but its running in the task-bar. I have tried (many, many times) to get rid of it with no success & I may also have more viruses I just don't know, I gave up. This is out of my league & I'm at whits end, but I hope the people of this forum will be able to find a solution, I need help all! Here's a HJT log & if you need anything else I'm at your disposal! PS thank you to anyone who is willing to help! Hello, I looked at your log, and you should fix these things: C:\WINDOWS\system32\netnews32.exe O3 - Toolbar: My Global Search Bar - {37B85A29-692B-4205-9CAD-2626E4993404} - C:\Program Files\MyGlobalSearch\bar\1.bin\MGSBAR.DLL O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NetworkNews] C:\WINDOWS\system32\netnews32.exe O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [NetworkNews] C:\WINDOWS\system32\netnews32.exe O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe ------------------------- Do you have Spybot Search&Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html ), AVG Anti Spyware (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/) And Ad-Aware SE Personal (http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=506) Also, you will need to have CCleaner installed http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4191 ) If you don’t have any of these, please download them, update them and run them individually in safe mode. Then, boot back into regular mode, and post a new HJT log once again. Thanks!
Hi, & thanks for your help, Unfortunately i don't think it helped. I fixed the following entries in HJT, but they appeared again a few minutes later, i suppose because there not the program loading the virus etc. Here's something interesting, only after i attempted to delete the my global search entry (in HJT) did i get a search bar appear in IE7. I still get pop-ups, my computer is slow & unresponsive, i get redirected whilst browsing, programs freeze, memory & cpu are always maxed out, start up takes an eternity & as far as i can tell its all still here. any other ideas? BTW, explorer wont run in safe mode, even when i manually try in the taskbar it stays open for about 5 seconds & closes again, obviously it never did this before all the other problems started, could that be linked?
