ok my dilema is this, i down load alot of torrents which from my understanding r basicly avis. so i downloaded avi2dvd and some of the movies i try to open on avi2dvd dont have a audiostream. some movies i put in have an audio stream but most dont. i use winrar to extract the files after they r down loaded. can some one give me some advise as to how to pull up the audiostream on the avis that dont automaticly come up??
Download 'GSpot', drag one of the problem files on to it and see if it does have an audio track. If it does, it will indicate the codec used by the file.. Press button 1 to render the file, then press button 2 to play it. http://www.headbands.com/gspot/v26x/GSpot270a.zip
shaggy80 it is a good thing to read the comments on the torrents before you download the files, that way you will know wheather there are any problems with the torrent
I have never come across an avi download that doesn't have an audio stream... avi= audio-video interleaved Try this converter.. handles formats even I have never heard of.. http://www.thugsatbay.com/tabencode.html
If it happens again, try converting them with this program. It has it's own codecs built in. Just set 'Aspect' and 'Standard' to match your TV screen and PAL/NTSC depending on where you live. http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe
