Are you converting files to DVD or are you backing up one of your own movie DVD's? What program(s) are you using, what brand of disk, burning at what speed on which type of media (DVD-R, DVD+R) does the burned disk play ok in the PC and does your standalone player's manual say you can use DVD+R or DVD-R and does it give an error message when you pop the disk in or is the playback just poor, breaking up, etc.
they burn fine to a dvd and play in my computer on the dvd but not the player and im usen memorex dvd+r i downloaded the software imtoodivx to dvd converter will dat work
make sure u use good quality media and that you dont use the comp AT ALL while burning or converting. good luck!
