As I'm navigating around the forums, the orange notification box telling me that the site was updated on March 16th keeps appearing. I get rid of it and it comes back over and over again. Please advise - you didn't intent for this crude behavior, did you ?
There are still plenty of little issues like that with the new site, I would wonder why these were not found in the beta...but then I would also have to wonder why Microsoft did not find the bugs in the beta of Windows Vista.
davexnet: You aren't enabling your browser to accept permanent cookies.. The box sets a cookie and wont appear again once you've seen it. We'll take it out after 2 weeks have passed since the v4 launch.
I thought it had something to do with cookies. My settings in Firefox allow cookies, & third party cookies, but only until I close Firefox. So I'm not sure why it's behaving the way I described - multiple appearances in one session. I've now added an exception for Afterdawn to keep them. Lets see if that takes care of it. PS I'm neutral about the update, at the moment I don't see any benefit to it. It's seems slightly more responsive, but the look and navigation seem a little cumbersome. I wish you'd find a better way to deal with the spam.
Can we prevent the website from automaticaly scrolling itself? I mean, the page loads, I start reading an article, then it scrolls down 10 seconds later, and I have to scroll up again...
I've experienced this "scrolling" issue too. I'm of the opinion that it's either because the page is slow to load completely, or there is some javascript that's taking a long time.
