can you activate iphone with out o2 sim uk (t mob)

    hi guys i have a iphone witch i tried to change versions on is second hand so do not have the sim that the phone came with the phone is asking me to activate it but it wont activate with my t mob sim is there any way round this any help will do thanks guys ive tried ibreakr any others that do work pls
