can you convert a .nds file into a .sav file?

    I got an R4 for my bday last year but my ex gave it to me with games already on it , then my bro dled more games me too .. but i recently dled games myself but i have no idea how to create a .sav file , my bros being a dick and theres no one else to ask. Im wondering..
    can you convert a .nds file into a .sav file? if not howw do you get it? i tried downloading but no good lol... help please

    The .sav file is created when you start a game on the R4. It creates it for you, you don't have to mess with it. And the .nds file is the actual game, the .sav is just your game save.
