I can't tell what you mean by "my DVD". Is this a commercial, copy protected DVD-9 movie?

If it is, then quit using Decrypter to open the thing. This can work but it is an un-needed step. Just open it with Shrink instead. Shrink will remove the copy protection and compress the movie to fit on your blank disc.

It sounds like you are using Decrypter in each of its various modes:

If you really feel the need to use it, just make sure you are in the "file" mode and have all the files selected.

A better and different use for Decrypter is to use it after you've opened the disc with Shrink. By selecting the correct output in Shrink, (ISO image), Shrink will then use Decrypter to burn the ISO image to your blank media. You don't even need to open Decrypter, you just need to have it installed on your computer. Shrink will do the rest.

As far as the copy playing on your DVD player, use only high quality media like Verbatim or Ritek G-04. Check for media compatibility with your player here:

    Hello folks!
I'm currently using dvd shrink 3.1 for ripping ISO to my hard drive and DVD DECRYPTER to burn ISO files to DVD-R blank media. The thing is that some movies won't get burned using DVD DECRYPTER and gives I/O error saying that some time has expired or other types of errors resulting in messing up my disc to throw it away in the trash. Now, I wonder if is something to to with DVD DECRYPTER, OR DVD BURNER DRIVE? why are some movies that work and some that don't?
The ISO files are small enough to fit 1 dvd-r!

I need your expertise on this!!!

    Thanks

    Al

Thank you fasfrank, to answer some of your questions "my dvd" only means one that I purchased for my kids and want to back up in case they scratch it, and yes it is copy protected movie. Also I could not open using dvd shrink because of the encryption. That's why I used Decryptor. I only use Decryptor when I have A problem whith shrink. Your user guide link showed me that one box was not checked on the settings in decryptor, and that was the problem. The box is "remove IFO/BUPrce protection". It was unchecked by default. Why? I dont know. I dont see why you wouln't want it checked by default. Oh well It's all set now ,Thanks again.
