hi. i have a d-link 624 router and a toshiba L25-S121 laptop. Usually the internet works fine. The laptop is connected wirelessly. All of a sudden one day, I cant connect to the internet through my laptop! Maybe its because i connected to the net through my friends psp. Did that screw up the configuration?? I also have Pc Cillin. Does that effect it in anyway. I have the mac address of the laptop set to trust in the exceptions or whatever but i still cannot connect to the internet. I tried connecting internet to another network nearby and it worked but i cant connect to MINE! HELP. thx
Hey mate i am havin the same problem what u need 2 do is plug the laptop directly into the router via the ethernet port with a ethernet cable (Duh) basic stuff. The router should then enable your IP address then err im not sure if this helps but remove the cable and reset the PC (you probally recived a cable with the router)
I doubt plugging in the laptop into the router is going to help> After all, the ethernet port and the wireless adapter have different MAC addresses, and are therefore more likely to have different IP addresses assigned to them. Now we need some more info about your router. Did you enable any kind of encryption on it? If not, someone could have gotten into your firmware wirelessly and changed around all the settings. Hope this helps.
this happened to me(if its aol youre using just be patient or re configure your location). It could also be your isp upgrading ur connection
