Had problems with Nero 7 where it just stopped working when I try to make any sort of disc using the built in file manager where it just stops working. A suggestion was to upgrade to Nero 8. OK now I've even tried Nero8 and I still get the same problem!! I am wondering if this is a permissions thing now? I updated from XP to Vista Home Premium and had a few problems sharing network drives but sorted all that. I have just realised that the problem only happens when I try to go INTO a directory which contains any files. I can navigate through directory structures which only have folders below them but as soon as I try to go into one which contains any files, Nero stops working! Nero Express is fine and I can use the normal Nero to burn ISO files fine. I also tried it where there were some .mp3 files in the root of the disk and they work fine so why can't I access any folders lower down the structure? I am pretty sure I have set all permissions correctly on the folders as I can access them fine the explorer? Any ideas please?
I've also tried running Nero Burning Rom as administrator and still get the same thing. Nero Express BTW is fine and will add files and burn no problem.
