I recently un-installed Nortin internet security 2005 and downloaded AVG anit-virus. I did a scan with AVG and found a bunch of viruses the NIS didn't detect. The issue is now every time I try to connect to the IE6 it says "cannot find server". When I start up my computer a warning notice pops up saying window could not detect file C:programfiles\Commonfiles\Microsoftshared\webfolders\ibm.0001.exe
I noticed this is one of the files AVG recognized as a virus along with several others but I could not export them to post here (cuz I can't connect). I also get a notice from norton saying "symantec user session: a necessary file could not be loaded : NAVProd" I removed all Norton/symantec products from add/remove programs. Is there possible conflicting issues with still loaded NIS2005 and AVG files that are interupting IE connection? Has anyone had this problem? If so, can you please help? I am running windows xp SP2 home edition, AVG anti-virus, Spybot S&D, and windows firewall for now. I'm planning to download a firewall and HjT as soon as I get up and running again. On side note, when click on windows firewall, it say's "windows cannot display firewall setting" is this a hole different issue/thread? Please help, I'm not the most computer savy person so detailed instruction are appreciated. Sorry for the long post with little info. I am posting this thread from another computer as I cannot connect to the internet on my home computer. Thanks!!!

I noticed that this thread is 8 days old. Do you have Internet connection yet?
