I tried to flash the bios on my xbox with FlashBIOS 3.0.1 I went into Enable network flashing and it seemed like everything was working great, it started to flash, and then when the green bar was complete the xbox shut off like it was suppose to. Then i turned it back on and it just goes back to the screen that says Flashbios 3.0.1 HDD: WDC WD80EB-28dfh2 07.01f07 8.4 GB DVD: SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SDG-605B Enable Network Flashing Load BIOS from HDD (C:\Bios) Load BIOS from disc Unlock HDD Lock HDD The modchip that i have installed is the Xecuter 3!
you need the x3 bios...the bios you used comes preflashed onto the chip, so you flashed Flashbios on top of Flashbios...what did you think was gonna happen? do a search around the internet for #xbins that should help you locate the x3 bios.
what bios should i download from xbons.... and how do you download them... i heard you need flshfxp or something else like it.
To use #xbins you'll need an mIRC client and to learn some simple commands like "/join" #xbins is located on efnet. As far as FlashFXP or CuteFTP go yes you'll need an FTP client for use on #xbins as well as your XBOX™ As allways google.com is your Friend!
the x3 chip can use most any bios, but it it shines with the official X3 bios, latest verison is 3294, just flash that to banks 1-4 and your set, www.teamxecuter.com for info on flashing, google xbins to find how to use mirc and such
I can't flash the xbox bios either. I have an X2.6. Whenever I try to flash the bios, I always get the "Unknown Flash! Halting" error. According to the flashbios guide on teamxecuter's site says "This is what happens if your X3 has its flash protection enabled." That would be useful if the switch wasn't already in unprotected mode. So the bioses I tried flashing are X2.5035, X2.5032, and EvoX m8. I tried flashing to bank 1, I tried flashing to bank 2. I tried with flash protect on, I tried it with flash protect off. I tried via DVD, via CD-RW, and via HTTP. every single time, I get "Unknown Flash! Halting." Does anybody have any ideas? P.S. I have a v1.1 xbox, and I am definitely using the 1.0-1.5 versions of the bios.
It's probably a .rar file in which case you need Winrar to extract. Make sure you flash the right one (1.1-1.5 or 1.6) Use http flash, it is the easiest.
