I'm using Nero 6, VisionExpress 2. I'm trying to burn an .avi file, but I cannot get any sound. Originally I didn't get sound when playing it anywhere, but after downloading an AC3 codec, it worked fine in everything but Nero. Video is fine. Just getting no sound during preview. When I run the file in GSpot it says that I have two compatible Audio Codecs installed: ffdshow Audio Decoder Nero Digital Audio Decoder When I hit "render" however, there is no Audio src, or Audio path. ...Help? I hope I've provided enough information.
What do you have under "Audio"? Either I leave it at "Automatic" or other few times I choose "Dolby Digital (AC-3)5.1" - look at picture for reference. Other than that, maybe it's corrupted, try to have Gspot fix it by going through its "configuration" settings.
I can't change the audio format. My screen is a little different than yours. The audio format field is grey and locked. It's on LPCM. No matter how I play around with it, I can't get to that field. Edit:
Hi Mizzer, I had about the same sound problem, and (like Alkohol refers to) fixed with with the Video options settings. In my case just disabling the SmartEncoding did the trick. This checkbox is in the tab General. Hope this helps.
I have the same issue with Nero 7. I captured a TV show with my DVICO fusion HD card. DVICO does ac3 encoding for audio. I took the mpg from DVICO and wanted to edit it in Nero Vision 4->Edit Movie and it doesn't seem to recognize the audio. After I add it to the project and select it's properties, it shows "No Stream" for audio. I cut the commercials off and finished my project, but the output mpg file does't have any audio. I am able to open the original mpg with Windows Media Player and see video and audio, while the output file from Nero just gives video in Media Player. Nero showtime doesn't play either of the files with any audio-just video. I would appreciate any thoughts or pointers. TIA.
