i backed up a copy of "along came polly" using smartripper then used nero recode to burn it to a dvd-r. when i try to play the movie back all i get is a picture of a strip of movie film and a message that says "the video has been removed". i've used nero recode on several other movies and did them the exact same way as this one without any problems. has this happened to anyone else?
hey bobmorden, welcome to AD. If you are getting a pic saying this video has been removed, you edited in recode taking that out. How much re-authoring in recode have you done? You should download DVDDecrypter, it's free here in AD,easy to use, and rip your video in file mode. There is no need to use smartripper, (altho you can) since recode can do all your editing you need or want. Use those files in recode, re-author and/or compress, then burn.
