I am very new to DVD burning. I am trying to burn a downloaded video_ts folder that has VOB, IFO BUP files inside. I am using Nero 6 and I have tried every DVD format in Nero. Data, UDF, ISO, but all of them ge me the same error on my stand alone DVD player, "cannot Play" but the DVDs play great on my computer DVD. I was able to burn one DVD in the past that plays on my stand alone DVD player but I can't remember what I did to create it. Can anyone tell me what may be going wrong?

To burn dvds I use nero as well, I go to nero express -> videos/pictures -> DVD-Video Files, and then import the files i want to add (each one becomes its own chapter on the dvd). Once imported do w/e options you want, click next, follow directions in creating the title page (have some fun with this if ya want), then next again, etc. You should come to a burn option, just click this and it'll burn a dvd playable on any dvd player.

The catch is that I use the new nero 7 version, not nero 6. If I were you I'd look to see if you can somehow access any of the steps I mentioned, or look on another forum for how to specifically do this on nero 6.

    Hi there,

Maybe those .VOB files are PAL and your DVD Player is a NTSC player.

Some player won't let you play PAL.

I have 2 DVD players in the house, 1 will, the other one gives me Incorrect Disk Error.

That's exactly what is happening. I have a Sony and it will not play PAL. I just order a Cyberhome. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
