Canon MV800i

    My first post here !!

    I'm looking at buying a Canon MV800i camcorder and looking for some feedback / comments on it. I undertstand that it's a basic unit which is fine as it will only get used on holidays etc. Actually I'm off to Bangkok and Hanoi on 30th December !!

    Another question about these units ... if the record to tape what does the SD Memory Card do ?

    Reasonable cam with a bit small CCD (1/6") so you may have some problems with low light conditions.
    As far as I know there is no memory card slot on this cam. But in generla: SD cards are used for shooting stills.
