Can't access IP Address...

    I've been trying some port forwarding and despite checking countless sites to find out my IP Address, I know the address, but cannot access it so I can forward the ports. Whenever I try and enter the address, it just times out. I've also tried typing in 'ipconfig' with the Start - Run method, but the black box that displays the information quickly disappears. My router is a 2Wire 1701HG. Is there anything that can done so I can access my IP Address?

    Even if you do ipconfig through command prompt, it's only going to display your private IP address and not your external IP address because your connection has been split down by your router.

    ip config usually gives you all of them. also you could search google for sites that do it. its pretty common
