Can't back my dvds

    I can't make back ups of my DVDs using NERO 5.5, My DVD Burner is a Hitachi HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B. Can Anyone help

    You can't back up a DVD just using Nero. What program(s) are you using for Decrypting - Ripping - Compressing? Have you read the Guides? Click the Guides tab above.

    I,m useing dvd shrink but nero goes to save the movie on to my hard drive not on the disk, nero doesn't seem to reconise the dvd burner

    When you click "backup!" in Shrink, change the target destination to your burner. I believe you have it set to your hard disk.

    just had a look at nero homepage and under supported drives it says your drive needs to be at least version 5.5.10.56 to recognize your burner
    possibly your version of nero is earlier ?
    that said i would recomend you get yourself nero 6 then you wont have a problem recognizing your burner, there is a free 30 day trial for nero 6 available at this site , just give it a try and see how you go .

    After your 30 day trial, since you have to purchase anyway, get nero ultra 6, which will include recode2 and nerovision express2. Both are valuable programs. Eagletronics has it for 49.00
