Sometimes one a movie sometimes 100 times. tried simple mode advanced mode. have an MSI dvd dvd-+ x4 & 8 on + 160 gig, 512 meg. I have tried + & - disks. Playing on LG ( in dvd forum people have had great success with either disks playing) Today tired clone dvd and same thing? Picture & sound great? Any one help????????
You used two completely different programs (DVD Xcopy, CloneDVD) and had the same problems. I'm a bit unsure about this part: Well I think you had the same problems! The first thing to check would be the condition of your source discs. They should always be inspected and cleaned before copying. The next thing to try is playing the copys in a different player and/or your computer and see if the problem is still there. You can download this tool and check your source disc and your copy for read errors: http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ I have had movies that would skip and freeze then fail when played in my play station. These movies showed no read errors. The PS2 is just a very picky player, only certain brands of +R media work properly and if the source disc had scratches that were not detected by this tool the PS2 would still crap out on me. Let us know what you find out. Good luck, Frank _ _X_X_X_X_X_[small]motorcycle racer computer newbie Sony VAIO Suzuki GSXR1000[/small]

Copied with dvd x copy using dvd-R disks and dvdsrink dvd+r no results (dvd+R not even a readable movie) ready to give up and take up money back offer?
dunny05, It sounds like a media problem, I think you've got to head on down to the media store and pickup either Ritek G04's or Verbatims. Another choice is any disk which says that it is an AZO superior dye appliacation. Don't try to hedge. Quality media makes ALL the difference - the systoms you relate are exactly those reported by others who "saved" money on their media purchases - Pete
