When trying to burn Dvd-video, Nero burning ROM fails due to invalid block adress. I can burn Ddv-data fine, with no errors. I have DMA enabled under Nvidia serial ATA controller. I'm running Vista 32-bit up to date, ihave the latest NForce Drivers. I've listed the Nero log file bellow: Stephen Johnson 1K22-2867-0K95-61K4-5000-CKAC-**** Windows XP 6.0 IA32 WinAspi: - NT-SPTI used Nero Version: 8.0.3.0 Internal Version: 8, 0, 3, 0 Recorder: <TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N>Version: SB01 - HA 1 TA 0 - 8.0.3.0 Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default CD-ROM: <TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N >Version: SB01 - HA 1 TA 0 - 8.0.3.0 Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : NVIDIA RAID 0+1 931.52G nvrd32 Port 0 ID 1 DMA: Off : TSSTcorpCDDVDW SH-S203N SB01 nvstor32 Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off : TSSTcorpCDDVDW SH-S203N SB01 nvstor32 Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off : NVIDIA nvstor32 Port 3 ID 0 DMA: Off : NVIDIA nvstor32 Port 3 ID 1 DMA: Off : NVIDIA nvstor32 Port 4 ID 0 DMA: Off : NVIDIA nvstor32 Port 4 ID 1 DMA: Off OtherPeripheral : SI Pseudo Device 0000 Si3132r5 Port 5 ID 31 DMA: Off === CDRom-Device-Map === TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N D: CdRom0 TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N E: CdRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 83886080 (0) Byte BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 2047MB (2097151kB) Free physical memory: 2047MB (2097151kB) Memory in use : 31 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 13.11.2007 UDF/ISO compilation 19:28:44 #1 Text 0 File SCSIPTICommands.cpp, Line 424 LockMCN - completed sucessfully for IOCTL_STORAGE_MCN_CONTROL 19:28:44 #2 Phase 112 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1762 DVD-Video files reallocation started 19:28:44 #3 Phase 114 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1762 DVD-Video files reallocation completed (no file modified) 19:28:44 #4 Text 0 File Isodoc.cpp, Line 6668 UDF document burn settings ------------------------------------------ Determine maximum speed : FALSE Simulate : FALSE Write : TRUE Finalize CD : TRUE Multisession : FALSE Burning mode : DAO Mode : 1 UDF Mode : UDF/ISO bridge UDF Options : automatic UDF Revision : 1.02 UDF Partition Type : physical ISO Level : 1 (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 char) Character set : ISO 9660 Joliet : FALSE Allow pathdepth more than 8 directories : FALSE Allow more than 255 characters in path : FALSE Write ISO9660 ;1 file extensions : TRUE 19:28:44 #5 Phase 111 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1762 DVD-Video files sorted 19:28:44 #6 ISO9660GEN -11 File Geniso.cpp, Line 3345 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 19:28:44 #7 ISO9660GEN -11 File Geniso.cpp, Line 3345 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 19:28:44 #8 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3520 Turn on Disc-At-Once, using DVD media 19:28:45 #9 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 307 Last possible write address on media: 2295103 (510:01.28, 4482MB) Last address to be written: 2140559 (475:40.59, 4180MB) 19:28:45 #10 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 319 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 19:28:45 #11 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2972 Recorder: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N, Media type: DVD+R Disc Manufacturer ID: MCC, Media Type ID: 004, Product revision number: 0 Disc Application Code: 0, Extended Information Indicators: 7 19:28:45 #12 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 493 >>> Protocol of DlgWaitCD activities: <<< ========================================= 19:28:45 #13 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 795 Setup items (after recorder preparation) 0: TRM_DATA_MODE1 () 2 indices, index0 (150) not provided original disc pos #0 + 2140560 (2140560) = #2140560/475:40.60 relocatable, disc pos for caching/writing not required/ required -> TRM_DATA_MODE1, 2048, config 0, wanted index0 0 blocks, length 2140560 blocks [D: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N] -------------------------------------------------------------- 19:28:45 #14 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 997 Prepare [D: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203N] for write in CUE-sheet-DAO DAO infos: ========== MCN: "" TOCType: 0x00; Nero 8 is buggy..... I'm still using Nero 7.10.1.0 because of this. And if you have virtual drives ....... shut them off. Still shows that your DMA is off... but you say it's enabled. weird! I'd also slow the burning to 8x instead of 16x.... but something else is going on here ..... I would go back to Nero 7: Save your serial # then uninstall Nero! Use the cleaning tool: Nero7 Clean tool http://www.nero.com/enu/support-nero7-tools-utilities.html do a registry clean up using this free cleaner: CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/download then do a defrag and reboot! now reinstall Nero 7.10.1.0: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?2893 good luck.
hey....... welcome to Afterdawn..... I have already been repaid by the many members here that taught me all I know..... I'm giving back what I can. enjoy and happy burning!
