I have a .ccd image file (with the appropriate .sub and .img files) and I am having much trouble burning it onto a DVD. I'll try giving as much information about my situation as possible. Hopefully, someone will be able to help since I've exhausted about everything I know with no success.

I've tried burning this file on two different computers with two different burners. On one, a laptop, I'm using a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L632M ATA burner, and on the other, a desktop, I'm using some sort of a NEC burner. Both the drives have the most recent firmware. The reason I put this thread in the software section is because I think it has less to do with the hardware and more to do with the software. The drives still recognize the media (Tayio Yuden blanks, btw) as being blank under "my computer" and I can backup my movies onto duplicate discs just fine. Also, the fact that this is happening on two different drives at the same time guides me more to the software direction.

*just in case this info could help, I have tested for other hardware related problems. I've uninstalled the device under device manager, physically taken and out and reinstalled the drive, deleted the lower limits under regedit for the drive, etc.

As for software, I've tried using Alcohol 120% and CloneCD. With both software I've used many different discs, so I doubt that it is the media (I am buying some more blank dvds to test, just in case). I uninstalled alcohol and tried and reinstalled it and tried it again. Both software give me the same problem on both computers. When I attempt to burn the image file to a disc under alchohol, I get the message "Please insert a blank disc..." even though under device status on the error message it says "Blank Disc (DVD)". When I attempt to burn with CloneCD I get the message "Overburn Request: Image doesn't fit on destination disc" with the options to overburn and write until the end of the media is reached. Under CloneCD it says that 668MB are required and that 0MB are free on the disc (even though the OS recognizes the disc as blank).

For a while I thought it might be the image file itself, but I'm pretty sure it's not. I can mount the file fine (I still need it on a disc though) and when I try to burn another image file that I know is not faulty, it doesn't work. Any suggestions? I have another DVD drive coming in the mail (won't be here for a while) and more blank DVDs coming to test, but I have a feeling they won't help - that this problem resides in the software area. But anyways...I would appreciate any help you could give me.

EDIT: One more thing - I'm using Vista on the laptop and XP Home on the desktop.
EDIT2: I just tested some Memorex DVDs and tried to burn the image file. Like I thought would happen, it didn't help at all.

EDIT3: Good lord I'm retarded. All I needed to do was burn it to a CD and not a DVD. Didn't think CDs were worth anything nowadays. I couldn't have been more wrong. But thanks for the help. Or lack of. Maybe my stupidity voided me from warranting help. Either way - problem solved.

Do not burn CCD image files.
    Convert ccd to iso.
But you need to download some file to convert it.
Type in www.google.com CCD to ISO converter.

I think you find it .
    Good luck
