I'm trying to backup this copy of "American Idiot" by Green Day. But when I look at the CD using Windows it only shows an .EXE file rather than the normal list of the CD's songs. When I tried to back up the entire CD as a whole using Veritas RecordNow it says that the CD nust have a scratch on it and can't copy it. I looked at the CD under a bright light and saw that it has a clear stripe near the outside. Is this some new way of preventing it from being copied? It has no scratches, just this stripe that was obviously put on there by the manufacturer. Can anyone help?

To the best of my knowledge 'American Idiot' is copy protected. Try scanning the disc with Aray disc scanner:http://www.aray-software.com/ see what protection it has. Or use this program to see if it can rip the tracks: http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/
