I made One DVD from avi's and things like that. But Now I am trying to back up somesoftware and trying to burn other movies. NEITHER are working now. Not sure what is going on! PLEASE HELP! there are plenty of things going on here: You have InCD and also you have Sonic/Roxio installed together and they don't mix with Nero! InCD is packet writing software that interferes with Nero DVd burning! Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS is a Sonic/Roxio driver that not only interferes with InCD but also with Nero while burning DVDs! Uninstall InCD and Sonic/Roxio! because.......... there are two versions of Nero working on your computer..... not good, and your version of Nero 7 version isn't the best one that you can have so you can solve all this InCD and Nero versions all in one shot: Save your serial # then uninstall Nero! Use the cleaning tool: Nero7 Clean tool http://www.nero.com/enu/support-nero7-tools-utilities.html do a registry clean up using this free cleaner: CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/download then do a defrag and reboot! now reinstall Nero 7.10.1.0: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?2893 you're using too much memory. No multi tasking, no internet, shut down all unnecessary programs running in the background and even shut down the anti virus programs while burning! you are using CMC MAGs.... terrible media! Use good quality media preferably MIJs (Made in Japan). do these changes and you should be just fine. also slow down your burning speed to 4x or 8x (half the rated speed of your disk)..... so if you have a DVD+R, 8x disk then burn at 4x!
This being the case the the version of Nero you were using (7.0.0.0) is NOT compatable with Vista so update as advised. You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml You have your serial number in the log, edit it out before someone pirates it... Thats ridiculous....burn at 4X
