I'm running win xp pro, trying to connect via flashfxp, I don't know what you're asking about the hub running dhcp, I know that I connected the hub today using only ethernet cables, one going from modem to hub, one going from nic card to hub and one going from xbox to hub. I can't ping the xbox

    Hey,

If you are trying to ping the xbox what address is your xbox configured as?

Also, Is your PC on the same IP range? If not then that will cause problems.

Also it may be (but unlikely) the speed you are trying to run your network at.

Post back with your xbox and pc IP configuration and we will see if there is a problem there?

did you get it?ok there are like three parts to this.
    1. settings on router set to dhcp (automatic ip giver)
2.the xbox ip settings in system setting at the top does it say static (you assign ip)or dchp(auto)
    3.computer network settings>tcp/ip>properties.>
if all three are set at auto or dhcp you should be able to fxp , i use a xbox skin that shows ip then use that for fxp
or you can ...manually set ips and computer range but try auto first

Hey, owvp702. You're running XP. Try turning off XP's firewall. I think it's on by default and that could prevent xbox to get connected.
