Can't convert .avi to dvd

    Hi

    My problem is that I'm trying to convert a .avi file, that will only play using VLC media player, to dvd. I am using DVDSanta to do this.

    Once the file has converted all I get is a 300MB file that just shows a blank screen with no sound.

    Anyone give me some help please ?

    hi,
    can you download avicodec, just google for it.Run your file through it and post the properties so i can see them

    Maybe Xilisoft dvd creator can be of great help.

    xilosoft is a converter, avicodec will reads the properties of the file 1st and then we will be able to see if there is actually any video there or if its just a dud file
