Assuming you've tried erasing the DVD-RW using Easy CD/Nero or whatever you have, this might work. Go to a command prompt (D:>) or whatever drive your DVD is, type: Attrib *.* -R -A -S -H which will remove the attributes for read-only, archive, system, and hidden. Then try erasing.
O.K., so I know windows a little, how do I get to the command prompt. I tried using DVD X Copy to erase, both quick and full, neither worked. I am using Win xp, so how do I address my DVD R Drive directly?
O.K., I found the command prompt, and I typed that command. I got the following "Access Denied - E:\Archive.txt" Commwiz? I look to you not to crash my PC , since I feel I am really living up to the title "newbie" By the way, thanks, I hadn't found that yet, you know, first PC in 8 years bla bla bla... Thanks...
