I have an Xbox with an Executor2 chip in it, as it only had a 80gb drive and avalaunch dashbord I purchased a 500gb drive and installed. I booted AID and formatted the drives and then selected the 'one click install'. This all went ok and at the end it asked me to turn off the xbox. I did this and when it restarted it goes straight to the MS dashboard, I went through the process again and it did the same thing. I then selected the install dashboard option and installed one but it still jsut boots to the MS front screen. How can I get it to boot to a normal dashboard again please ????
I have found that it seems to be only the Avalaunch dash that it does it on, I have tried two others and they work ok. Having tried the Avalaunch about 6 times now I have seen twice it comes up with an unzipping error, have tried it on different burnt images and it's the same.
eh this is a simple solution. Your chip is probably booting C:/default.xbe. When the files are being modded you may be selecting softmod which would be the wrong files. Easiest way to fix this is to download my cheater C located in my sig. This is a clone of my C partition. You will only need the dash files from this and the default.xbe No need to copy over the SID folder (this is what contains the softmod) To test it you should throw it in an apps folder then access the default.xbe that way. If it boots avalaunch then you can easily replace your c: with avalaunch. I'll test this out later if i get bored and let you know exactly which files to copy.
