Ok first off I used an HP CD-RW for evoX. It worked perfect, I got my FTP to connect, made backup of C and E on my PC. Installed EvoX on xbox HD and again worked fine. Then I installed the new EvoX (3752) and started having problems after I put no IGR file in E: directory like it said to. Now my xbox won't read my cd-rw I cant get EvoX to load so I can access from FTP. Tried switching out HD's but it just gives me an error 13. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO FROM HERE, PLEASE HELP ME!!

I thought about unlocking xbox HD and modifying it on my PC but I dont know if it needs to be locked again or what.

P.S. I tried hooking up PC DVD-ROM and it worked fine but it still wont read EvoX disc.

I have the same problem, except I got made Evox my default dashboard by copying it to my hard drive, so now when I boot my xbox without a game inside, it gives me an error 13. When I boot from the Evox boot cd it gives me an error 14. I can still play original games. Is there any way to reformat my xbox hard drive and put the factory files on it?

download slayers auto installer and copy the iso on it to cd or dvd rw. run it.. reformat the drive nad then let slayers install the dashboard and that should fix it.

When I put the cd-rw with Slayer's Auto Install in the xbox, I get and error 14. Is there anything else I can try?

I would double check all the connections. ie ribbon cable. Then I would check the jumpers on the hard drive. ie cable select setting. I would also check the dvd ribbon cable. Hell you never know you swapped out the hard drive so many times somthing may have gotten loose. Then if they all seemed to be corrected I would boot up with the evox boot cd you made. If the new version doesnt work try the previos evox release.

See what I did since I run evox off of the hard drive, the newest realse of evox would not work for me so I booted with the previous release and copied the files to the hard drive then once I could boot off of the hard drive I just copied the newer release of evox through ftp. I'm not sure if you run evox off of the hard drive but thats what I did.

Then if that doesnt work I would burn a copy of slayers and try the same steps as I said above. If that doesnt work then I think its how you make the iso. Xiso didnt work for me so I used isomaker 2.0 and it worked fine.

    Well hope that helps.

The Hard Drive Cable and everything is fine.

What previous version of EvolutionX should I use and how should I burn it (What preferences, 2x, Disc at once, etc..)?

I can't boot to EvolutionX! No CD-RW I have tried has worked. It has, however, given me different error codes. I have gotten 13 and 14 errors.

    I am using an image I have downloaded, "EvolutionX_beta_1.8.2812" I use Nero 5, 2x Memorex CD-RW, Disc-At-Once, Finalize CD. I Full-Erase the CD before I burn it.

Sounds to me like the files you downloaded could be the problem. Did you ever get it to work?

Do you have a working copy of EvolutionX? I don't think its the file, because other things I've tried to burn and run on my xbox hasn't worked either.

Just do a search for the latest evox file in google...I posted the versions already. I would try a different version of evox. Either one of the two i mentioned above should do good.

I just tried EvolutionX build 3752, and that didn't work.

My original copy of Evox did work, and I could FTP to it. I installed Evox by copying the evox files into the C drive, and renaming the evox xbe to the same name the MS dash was (xboxdash.xbe or something). Then, I tried to copy a game to the hard drive, and the game showed up on the menu and everything, but when I tried to play it, it hung. Then I tried rebooting my xbox, and it gave me an error 13. But, I rebooted it ten minutes later, and it worked fine. Then, I tried to play the game again, and it didn't work, and it gave me teh error again. Since then, I haven't been able to boot the XBox without an original game in it.

gregory14....you did the same thing that I did, it might be a problem with that file or something. I just returned my chip and my xbox tho, still waiting on the chip....I don't know what the hell happened, but it wasn't good.

What stores can I return my xbox to? Walmart will let me I think, but there isn't a Walmart near me. Does Toys-R-Us do it?
