cant get my ds connected to Belkin F5d7230-4 wireless router... help!!

    Hi i have looked for other threads but cant find my answer so appologies if this is anywhere else, but anyway my question,
    has anyone else managed to get there ds connected online using a belkin F5d7230-4 wireless router? i am having a nightmare! plus the nintendo website is not the clearest thing to understand... for your average joe anyway...
    any help is greatly appreciated!

    im connected to a belkin router but firstly what are you using it for gaming online?

    The DS will only do WEP, so make sure your router security is not set to WPA or WPA2.

    Thats the problem, it was not set to wep! but now i change the settings and the ds works but cant get my laptop connected only by plugging it in, any idea wat needs to be changed on my laptop to get it working?? thanks again!

    Well, the laptop should certainly connect using WEP. I would assume it has some sort of connection wizard that can create a new connection. If you are running a Windoze machine, look in your control panel.

    if you had wpa on your laptop, make sure you change it to the new wep password. But I can't think of a laptop that can't connect to a wep encrypted network
