Okay, i just installed the softmod on my xbox. The modded maps are awesome. But there's only one problem, i can acces xboxlive. I tried to acces it through both of my accounts, nothing.... I'm going into CUSTOM GAMES and i dont cheat. So, if anyone can tell me what to do, i think i have to reset my ip to DHTP or something. Anyhelp is wanted thanks!
Do you have the Dual-boot option?? If not then you wont be able to play online with your softmod....and even if you load the maps in custom games you within 6 hours you will be banned from matchmaking..
hey unmodme ill tell u excactly how i get on live make sure ur xbox is off then press the eject button put ur game u wanna play on live (ill use halo 2 for exsample) put halo 2 in the disc tray DONT CLOSE THE TRAY YET ok no on ur screen it shouldnt say evo or unleashed it should be at the installer screen there should be a button on the screen that says close tray then press restart xbox button on the installer screen then select ur prof and it should sign on
Okay. whenever you want to get online on xboxlive. All you have to do is turn on your xbox using the big eject button. The disc tray should open put your disc in (halo2) and colse the tray. This way should over pass the Evox dash or unleashed dash. If that doesn't work you gotta reinstall the softmod and click the Dual Boot for whatever region your xbox is running. (NTSC or PAL) Once done that, click open retail. (the last few sentances are in the SID 4 menu if anyone got confused. THen it should install the softmod again! If you need anymore help, post here!
OH! And for xboxlive banning. You will ONLY GET BANNED IF YOU GO INTO MATCHMAKING!! Once you are in the matchmaking screen (1.2.3.4 kinda thing) Bungie actually scans your hardrive. If they find modded content (maps, softmod, hardmod ect.) you will be banned ONLY from matchmaking. So basically, dont go into matchmaking, no one likes cheaters!!!!
ok, ive done everything that yall have said but i still get a message saying that xbox cant connect to live, i have flashfxp and im also trying to place an orginal dash file on my xbox so that way i can see my orignal dash, how can yall help me?
Basically, turn on the xbox using the bigger button. If that doesn't work reinstall the softmod and remember to click dual boot then open retail or else nothing will work. Tell me how all of that goes. Post back here!
Ok I have done this already but it still doesnt work, the only way i can get online is to restore the ms data, but then after i do that i cant get back into the evo x dash
Hum... well everything is working for me. I think the only thing to do is go bac kt othe LINUX profile delete the softmod and try installing it using this tut: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/311710 It even has the SID 4.0 But if you already have all that just read the tut.
yah i kinda screwed my xbox i cant play xbox live and there is no saved data and i cant access my memory card i want to remove the softmods how do i do that if i used splinter cell???
Okay, if you used Splintercell just put your disc in, and load your linux profile. You should be in a different menu. Press uninstall softmod and restore MS backup. It should work that way, if it doesn't just try to restore everything.... and yeah.
ok i tried doing that but i guess the linux files eithr got deleted or r on the original dashboard or somthing i also tried to get the files onto my xbox again but it wouldnt let me access my memory card is there another way to get the files to the xbox i also tried restoring everything but i wont let me so yah for ur help so far if there is no way to fix it im not gonna be too mad cause im savin up for a 360 but i wanna play xbox live
