Can't open some web pages

Hi,
I recently did a complete reinstall of my pc,And since i downloaded all the various windows xp updates i can't open some web pages,Using internet explorer,Firefox,Or Avant browser,I have checked the net for any similar problems and seen a guide how to best configure activex,And reset activex accordingly,I have been informed by various websites activex is the problem,Any help much appreciated.

if not i would call your ISP or contact them over net.

You're a star i had checked just about everything on my machine except peerguardian,Too busy blaming activex and ie security settings,Problem sorted.
