I burned a dvd and I can play it in my portable DVD player but not in my home DVD players. I'm using DVD+R Verbatim DVDs, and I've looked at all my manuals and it looks like the DVD should be compatible with the DVD player. But the DVD player says Recorded signal: compatible with Digital video (MPEG2). Well, in order to burn the DVD I had to convert the file from an avi to like IFO.BOV ect. And when I put the DVD in the player it says "eject disk, the disk may not have a playback feature" or somethin or other. Which is crazy because it works on my portable DVD player. SO PLEASE IF ANYBODY has any suggestions or answers please let me know. Thanks.

try converting it to a iso file

also try booktyping the DVD+R to DVD-ROM or use the DVD-R format, burn speed is important to keep it at 4x to 8x max
