Can't play dvd platinum with my dvd rom

    I have a DVD Rom, but having problems watching movies on dvd platinum.
    When i put the insert the dvd en click on d:
    i got an error message:

    Windows can't read this disk. It is dammage or is not compatible with windows.

    I am almost 2 days trying to solve the problem.

    Please help me with a solution.

    I take it "Platinum DVD" is a brand of media?

    What software did you use to make the copy?

    What movie did you copy?

    I haven't got a writer, someone give me the dvd.
    I have a matshita sr8586 Dvd Rom player on my pc.

    The movies are: The leage of the extraordinary gentlemen.
    The last samurai

    Without knowing how the disc was made I can only guess it was a poorly made copy, poor media or both. Sorry.
