Can't play SVCDs created with TMPGenc on alba dvd player

    Hi, i've been having problems playing SVCDs i've created with TMPGenc plus on my alba DVD108 player. I create the SVCDs in standard PAL format and they play fine on my pc once i have burned them to cd using Nero.

    However, when i try to play on my alba dvd player the player reads the disk ok but will not start playing. When i try to skip to a time it read the disk for ages and then just displays a stop sign.

    It can play svcd images i download without any problems so it must be to do with how i encode/author them. It can play VCDs i author with no problems as well. please help, its driving me mad!

    hmmmmm could it be the cd-r media you are using? also have you tried DVD2SVCD?? a lot of downloaded svcd images would have been created with that!

    I'm using the same cd-r media as when i've successfully played a downloaded image, but i'll give DVD2SVCD a try...

    ye maybe it has something to do with the way nero burns it! Use alcohol to burn the images dvd2svcd gives you
